New Lyme Disease research website

Kate Bloor has written to us with news of an important new resource which is engaged in researching and publicising tick borne diseases.   Especially important to people who spend a lot of time out side and therefore may come into contact with ticks.

Dear organisation
We are new community group engaged on research into tick-borne infections, and policy issues in the UK and ireland.

I am writing to tell you about our new website, which has information that is relevant for organisations whose members spend time outdoors, and are therefore at risk of contacting Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections. You will find it has two articles about prevention, and tick protection.
You might also be interested in putting an article in your members magazines about the issues, or emailing this information out, or distributing it in some other way, such as putting a link on your own website etc.
You will be perhaps interested in a new film that is being planned, to highlight issues for people in the UK and ireland, about the political and human issues assocated with tick-borne infections. Here is a link about the planned film.

If you wish to sign up for ongoing campaign or research news, please let us know and we will send you email on our regular mailings. Many thanks for your interest.
Kind regards
Kate Bloor
