Purpose:- to give listing of small/large/interesting/menial 'things' that we do.

If items deserve more discussion - Please start a new thread - that way this thread should be easy to read and informative-

Felled several Sweet Chestnut that did not come into leaf that must have died over winter and were dangerously near main track.

Cut bean poles for my own use.

Selected pea sticks from heap of Birch brash

Backfilled deep ruts with rubble.

Only one visit to Misty Wood in May so far:-

sorted through coppiced ash and hazel for bean poles and rods for hurdle making,

delivered six lengths of elm up to 16" diameter for milling into boards, along with some lengths of poplar to mill for shave hores bodies and seats

sit in camping chair drinking mugs of coffee.

Trampled some bracken, wished I brought the brush cutter.

Cleared site and pulled stumps with an excavator.

Burned a ton of brash.

Planted some sacrifical willow.

Did some pest control.

Started a diary to keep track of work.

Continued exploration of deep dark places in wood, trying to link topography to arial photos.

Fitted new exahuast on land rover.

Sharpened chainsaw chain for umpteenth time. Need new one.
