Hello everyone,

I have just found this site so I thought I would join.

I am that saddest of all woodland creatures: the hobby forester.

I have a 10-acre plantation in leicestershire. I am coppicing hazel for coppice-workers/gardeners and other broadleaves for my own firewood.

Alan.

Welcome Coppiceer,

We fall into that category too, its great :)

Yesterday comprised of bit of firewood cutting and strimming back an overgrown path.

Elaine took a few more photos (just for a change!) and we also had friend and her dog for company too. Good time had by all.

We're pretty close to you, in Tamworth. Welcome to the forum :-)

Ours is a hobby forest too - most of us fall in that category I think.

Whereabouts in Leics are you?

I live in Earl Shilton, my trees live elsewhere: in bandit country.
