I live in Peterborough Cambridgeshire but my wood is near Maidstone in Kent. There are trees in Cambridgeshire, I know, I’ve seen both of them. After lots of looking I ended up getting something near my daughters family and grand children.
The wood is 11 acres mostly ASNW Hazel and Ash coppice with Oak standards. There is a lovely big pond and I’m really enjoying regular weekend visits. I’m currently working towards drawing up a management plan for which my local Forestry commission officer says I can get a grant. A welcome surprise that I can hardly believe. Maybe I’ve mis-understood. I won’t start studying the Stihl catalogue just yet!
