We did it!!

At last... we have completed on our lovely little bit of England :) Broadleaf semi ancient woodland.

We've only had chance to go for a few hours so far, but it was heaven. Kelly kettle and log lifting tongs both proved to be very worthy purchases!
As was the 40p Ikea bag for chucking stuff in to carry through the woods... can't go wrong!

Looking forward to now becoming more involved in the forums....

As the resident night owl at the moment it falls to me to congratulate you first :D
Well done and look forward to hearing more about the place and what you plan to do with it - if anything, as letting it do its own thing is also an acceptable management strategy.
As you may have read on this forum already, just observing it for a year or two is a good strategy if you are not already familiar with the wood.

On this theme, a Kelly kettle and log tongs are ideal first visit tools - as long as the tongs are only used to position suitable sitting logs for the purposes of enjoying a cuppa and surveying your new sanctuary.

Enjoy
