We have owned a wood in Hampshire for 5 years which we have been working for the last 4 winters. Most of it is hazel or ash and hazel coppice, but we have some high forest too, mainly plantation of native broadleaves. Our wood is 63 acres in total, about 40 acres coppice which has not been systematically cut for about 40 years and the rest plantation.

We are woodland managers, and do work in other peoples woods as well. This includes writing management plans, thinning, clearing up after storms (the week before last\'s job), fencing, mowing and coppicing.

Greetings from the underwood, I go with Chris above. In case you are wondering the \'Underwoodsman\' works with the coppice he does not work for the Woodsman. The Woodsman/Sawyer/Forester work the timber trees.
