Hello, I’m new to the group so just a little bit about me and my interests.
Currently living in north Oxfordshire, close to Warwickshire, Northants and Bucks. Unfortunately, I don’t own a wood of my own at present, but hopefully will manage to obtain a smallish one sometime … if I can find one available and not too far away!
I did quite a bit of volunteer work on a local wildlife trust wood quite a few years ago, mainly coppicing and ride clearing sort of things, and am booked on a hedgelaying course in November. I also hope to do a hurdle making course too if I can find a convenient one.
I have a recent interest in stickmaking (this uses mainly hazel, blackthorn, ash for the shanks) so if anyone wants a little bit of help in their wood in exchange for me gathering a few rods that would be good!
