Mink and polecat

All discussion on birds, bugs and animals

Dear all, I am on the scrounge for any mink and polecat carcasses that might appear on Gower / Swansea roads between now and March 2010. I would be extremely grateful if you were able to either contact me if you have a body or if you are able to pick them up for me that would be grand! The bodies are needed for a variety of projects this year including:

Individual Diet / diet overlap between the two species

To obtain DNA samples from polecat / polecat-ferrets for an in-depth study on how genetically “pure” British polecats actually are

To screen the animals for a number of diseases and parasites determine the current activity / distribution of these two beasties in the area any assistance (or reports of live sightings) would be very much appreciated,

many thanks

Dan
