Small Woodland Owners' Group

Pailings wanted.

Food, firewood, timber, walking sticks, for sale...

Postby Toby Allen » Sun Aug 09, 2009 2:23 pm

I am taking my Pailing machine to the weald wood fair and need pailings or lengths of chestnut to make my own. It will save me carting a load down from Herefordshire.

I need 3' or 3'6" pailings by the hundred.

Let me know if any one is interested in making me some, or post on here.

Cheers

Hi Toby

We might be able to help a little now we have the landy! Muppet here (me) needs more details though, do you mean a straightish pole , 3 ft long? Do you need them already split into pailings, or can we bring them round? In which case what diameter?

If you want them already split, send us a quick guide in how to!

You paying ? ;-)

Richard has offered to split me some for the fair, hopefully they will be enough..

I could do with a few 3'6" lengths in the round to demonstrate cleaving while we are there, if you could bring some with you I'd appreciate it. Not many ,10 x 5-6" diameter will do (I want to have time to go and enjoy the fair too).

See you there..

Given the capacity of my trailer I am aiming to supply about half.

Also I will have to charge for delivery.
