hi kris - we have sold chestnut to a yurt maker - but to keep our labour time down (to zero) the yurt maker comes and cuts the poles himself - he gets great & cheap poles - we get the pruning done and a bit of beer money

Hi,

I sell my Hazel bean poles for 70p each, Ash bean poles for 80p each for small orders. Pea sticks (bundles of 20 for£3 wholesale., £5 retail. I would be interested to know what people sell 100 hedging stakes for.

Would you consider £40 a reasonable price?

Phil

The problem with stakes is the competition from woodyards and fencing manufacturers selling sawn stakes very cheaply. These stakes are not particularly good quality but are a uniform size and are readily available.
