If anyone is free in the Cheshire area this Sunday, yoiu could be part of a World Record!
Jeni West Recreation Ranger at Delamere Forest has emailed us with the following:
Sunday 11th - September at Delamere Forest, Cheshire.
Delamere has been chosen as the site to go for the Guinness World Record
Attempt for the Largest Tree Hug. On Sunday 11-9-11 Delamere Forest will
be opening its doors for the public to see what we are about and the
types of activities we have taking place in the forest, from harvesting
operations to Habitats & Hillforts walks and tours of the FC Nursery. At
1.15pm registration will take place for the world record attempt. The
days events will be based at Whitefield Carpark.
I wondered if your group would like to hold a stand demonstrating willow
weaving or please could you inform your members of this record occasion.
