Secrets of the Castle

Postby SitkaSpruce » Thu Dec 11, 2014 4:52 pm

Anyone been watching this?

some very interesting topics including felling an oak - mediaeval style, squaring a log with a side axe, oak timber framing, and the making of the axe itself by the blacksmith. Oh and they're building a real castle- from scratch.

The craftsmanship is fantastic but they are also using experimental archaeology based on findings at dug sites.

Been watching it from the start, its an amazing project.
Its a bit of a shame that there are no similar projects in this country, unless anyone knows different?

Yeah great program. Something quite sexy about Ruth but I can't put my finger on it ;)
