Hello from a Horselogger

Postby Carnog » Wed Sep 12, 2012 2:06 pm

I thought I would introduce myself to the forum. My name is Barbara Haddrill and I am a horselogger. I am based in mid-Wales and work mainly in mid and north Wales and the borders. I do not currently own my own woodland, but get to spend lots of time in many other lovely woodlands. If anyone wants to know more about horselogging and how it can be a perfect answer in many small woodland settings then please ask questions. I have a website too http://www.carnog.co.uk. or look at the British Horse Loggers for other horselogggers near you http://www.britishhorseloggers.org

My horselogger tale ( not the Carnog person) ...a cathartic moment - may be an apology to another horse logger person

a horselogger person came to look at my woodland - approx 200 mile round trip -I thought it was an ideal horse logging moment - looked forward to having horses drag out the timber

turned out, my wood - too steep and had gullies to cross as well- both no-go's for horses

still feel guilty about horselogger person coming all that way for no work
