Look what I found in the woods today !!!

Sighting of a lifetime captured on video last week, thought I would share with you guys.
We were just wondering through the woods as usual and heard a strange noise up ahead, this little chap was the source.
I love the way hes pretending to be a log, eyes seemingly closed, but seems to think I wont notice his head following me round !!. Wonderful moment leaving an everlasting memory. Love it. Suspect he can't fly yet so has little choice but to freeze and pray...

Thanks, he had little to fear from me, other than the gormless grin and wide eyes that were welded on my face for the rest of the night.
Pretty sure Tawny Owl chicks leave the nest before fledging, then hang around close in the trees for a while. He was making such a racket that he didn't even hear me coming up behind, bless him ( i say him but could of course be a her !! ).
