Owl Posing for a Photo

Postby Zathras » Tue Apr 28, 2015 12:10 pm

Not been on here for a while as I've been moving house and engaged with the woods.
Thought I'd jump on to share one of our recent owl photos though...

That's is beautiful, I have a penchant for owls.
Is that taken with a trail cam?

Yes, it was taken with our trail camera and I used free web service to make the gif.

Most of our owl captures involve just glowing white eyes, in a shadowy form at night, so were really pleased to get a daytime photo of it investigating the camera up close.

The camera is a Plot Watcher Pro, it's a daytime only camera that takes snaps at x second intervals.

Most of our pictures aren't really worth publishing, but are interesting to us - this was a new position for the camera a month ago and clearly worth the relocation.
We've caught badgers, deer, pheasants, squirrels, rabbits, and of course poachers!

When I get some time I'll sort out the better photos, we're also camping this weekend so I will get a new download to browse - fingers crossed for some more owl.
