Pond Sock Life...

Postby Zathras » Tue Sep 09, 2014 6:13 pm

In an effort to reduce the pond algae we are trying barley straw socks as previously discussed here.

Interestingly, one of them has already become home to something - not seen our guest out of its hole yet, any guesses?

My first guess was rat, my partner guessed vole...

We're going to keep an eye to see if we can spot it, might set-up a camera while we're camping next.

I reckon it's a Common Sock Weevil, I have had one in my sock drawer for years and it's ruined loads of pairs. Its a cunning devil though as I have never spotted it.
