Sorry to jump on someone elses post but two things:

Firstly Heartwood- Could you Email me with you day rates for operator and machine and spec it can lift and fit on ect as we sometimes need something light and small with a crane - thanks

Secondly if anyone has any standing timber accross the south east we would be more than happy to make you an offer, regardless of grade or age.

Hi Hobby,

I know Bilsington area fairly well. I would be happy to do some extraction there. The tractor is only small, so would easily fit down the rides. The crane lifts about 500kg close in, and it will take 3 metre lengths although 2.4 metres is preferable. Give me a ring and I can pop over and take a look.

This has nothing to do with woodlands, but just a strange coincidence. Although we now live in Devon, I was bought up at Brisley Farmhouse which is just inbetween Ruckinge and Bilsington.

And what's an even bigger coincidence is the fact that I viewed and was very close to buying the very house about 2 months ago!!!!!!, we were put off by the right of way, oh and the price !!!!

Our woodland is less than a mile from the house, and as the council have declined our request to build a house on the paddocks fronting the woodland my house hunting continues, grrrrrrr.

There was no price on that link, but I assume that it is going for somewhat more than the £9,000 that my parents paid for it as a derelict farmhouse 40 years ago.

Ill let you make your own mind up as to 40 years inflated house prices in Ruckinge, but yes its a little more than 9K unfortunately.
