Woodland cabin in C4 "Amazing Spaces"

Postby wrekin » Thu Oct 23, 2014 11:02 pm

This year’s series of George Clarke’s “Amazing Spaces” features a log cabin being built in a woodland clearing. You should be able to view the episode for the next month on Channel 4’s 4OD catch-up service.

Watched it and was not impressed! I preferred George's programs on restorations rather than small builds. His designs are too much 'form over function' in my opinion, the caravan he did in the Lake District in the first series was appalling.
The log cabin featured yesterday would look fine on an American prairie or in the Rockies but just looked out of place in a UK forest.
The railway carriage that the Traveller did was interesting but again it looked like an Australian outback pub and out of place.
Judging Georges past efforts I imagine his new build will be full of gimics and end up as a blot on the landscape.

Yeah I noticed that. Thought he and his mate would have had more sense than to stand at the end in line with the drop.
