Finally bought a wood :)

Last year my partner and I were looking at buying a small piece of woodland somewhere as an escape from the city life at weekends. Well, we've gone and done something a bit bigger than that, we've just bought a small farm in Devon, at least we're going through the purchase process now. 27 acres with 6.5 acres of broadleaf woodland. It's magical. We're planning to start a low impact camp site as a business and gradually move away from our city jobs. Hopefully we'll be moved down there by the summer and the site should be fully operational for the 2014 season.

Excited doesn't even begin to cover it.

Once we're moved in we'll be looking at putting together a woodland management plan which may involve a log boiler based central heating system as part of the farmhouse renovation. Should be a fun project.

Justin.
