Woodland owner/contractor in Herefordshire

Hello Everyone,
I am Ben Hill. I own and manage a small woodland with my partner Jo in Herefordshire. We have had our 22 acre mixed woodland for nine years, which we are gradually thinning after it's previous forty years of under management. Using an Antonio Carraro alpine tractor and a variety of attachments we are able to extract timber(6 ton forwarder and skidding grapple), clear rides and scrub(mulching flail) and process firewood(firewood processor). I also take on work in other local woodlands, thinning, restoring overstood coppice, timber extraction and scrub and ride clearance. If you have a woodland in the area, I am taking on contracting work. I am also happy to visit and advise on management.

All the best

Ben

Hi Ben,

Don't currently own a woodland, I do help in my uncles and hopefully my own one day. Would be interested in talking about gaining experience as its something I hope to move towards in the near future. Sure you have great knowledge.
