legal entity for group purchase

Postby RickW » Wed Sep 24, 2014 10:24 am

Hello
I'm a new member, and would be grateful for advice on the best legal vehicle for purchasing a wood. We are a group of about 20, looking at buying a local 20 acre wood.
Options seem to be:
limited company
Community Interest Company (CIC)
Co-operative Society
Community Benefit Society
Unincorporated Association

Any advice welcome!

Where are you? Community purchasing in Scotland but convoluted bit generally state pays!

I like Ltd company. 1 share each at 1/20 of purchase price. Shares can be sold if folk move away etc.
