Hiring someone else to work in your woodland is a tricky task. Do you pay them to coppice and they take the wood? Do they pay you for standing timber? Who is responsible for the brash, tracks, regrowth? We don’t yet have answers to these questions, but here is an example contract from the Surrey Sussex Coppice group. Something to start with…
