The Woodland Enterprise Centre at Flimwell is having a ‘Timber in Structures’ open day on the 7th June 10am – 4pm.
The day will include: using wood in sustainable construction, exhibition of timber architecture from Europe, a tour of the building (at 12) , a hands on workshop, display of work done by students and understanding the engineering of building with wood. Looks really interesing! Read more …
We have another exciting SWOG meeting planned for the 19th July at Plumpton College (exact location will be confirmed). To our great delight, Alan Sage is coming along this time. He manages two woodlands, is a coppicer and an artist! He makes hudles, baskets, willow structions, rope and much more.
Our very own David Plummer is going to lead a session and the RSPB Woodlands advisor too. It will be a great day.
